Jack Striker

Jack Striker

Administrator

My name is Jack Striker and I am the facility administrator for Landmark Care.  I have been in Nursing Home administration since 1983.  I’ve been involved in several associations including the Washington Health Care Association as an officer of the Board and treasurer and am currently a District Governor.

In my previous working life, I was a teacher in Western Washington.  My transition from teacher to nursing home administrator has allowed me to continue utilizing my abilities to be creative, detailed oriented, and lead others by guiding and teaching others to excel to the best of their ability.  I strive to create a positive atmosphere conducive to a healthy, wholesome environment to work and live in.  The health care industry provides me the daily challenges to support my passion to constantly grow within myself.  I view life as a daily adventure!

One of my favorite memories in health care is the time when I introduced a female resident who was lonely and unhappy to a fellow, like-aged male resident who was going through the same personal challenges.  They began to spend more and more time together and fell in love.  I was very honored when the newly made couple announced their engagement and asked me to be their wedding coordinator!  I was thrilled!!  The wedding was beautiful (if I do say so myself! J ), and went off without a hitch.  We held the nuptials on the grounds of the facility as well as the reception.  I thoroughly enjoyed knowing I made a positive impact on two peoples’ lives and they honored me by coordinating their ceremony.

My passions include virtually anything active and fun a person can do outdoors!  I don’t keep still often so I’m always looking for new ways to add to my adventurous life!  Please feel free to contact me at my directly line at 509.895.0270 or email me at  striker@hyattff.com.

Jeanette Sexton, LPN

Jeanette Sexton, LPN

Assistant Director of Nurses

Hi, my name is Jeanette Sexton and I am the Assistant Director of Nursing.  I have worked for Hyatt Family Facilities for nine years.  Six years at Willow Springs and three years at Landmark Care.

I chose to be a nurse in the long term care industry because I believe we can learn so much from the wisdom passed down to use from our senior population.  One of my favorite memories is when I sat with a female patient who had end-stage dementia and I sang with her to help her calm down and feel safe.

Kadie Fielding

Kadie Fielding

Activity Director

Hi, my name is Kadie Fielding and I am the Activities Director at Landmark Care.  I have been at Landmark Care for seven years.  I oversee all the social activities we provide for our residents and short-term patients.

I enjoy working in the skilled nursing environment because each and every patient we serve has an interesting story to tell for which we can all learn from in our own lives.  My favorite memories are each time I can pray with a resident or patient and help provide emotional relief during their stay.

Trisha Cooper

Trisha Cooper

Central Supply Director & Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor

Hi, my name is Trisha Cooper and I oversee Central Supply for Hyatt’s three facilities in the Yakima area.  I have worked at Landmark for over nine years.  I maintain the inventory of medical supplies used to provide the care to the patients.  Although my position doesn’t typically put me directly involved with patient care, often times I will assist in patient transportation to appointments.  In those special times, I get the pleasure of meeting wonderful, interesting people.

A favorite memory of mine is when I assisted a patient to a doctor’s appointment where during our wait in the waiting room, the silence was bothering the patient so much he decided to break out in song which had “inappropriate” words.  I broke out in an uncomfortable giggle because he was inappropriate but funny as well.

Yazmin Navarrete

Yazmin Navarrete

Dietary Manager

Hi, my name is Yazmin Navarret and I am the Dietary Manager at Landmark Care.  I have worked at Landmark for eight years and was awarded Employee of the Year in 2015.  I am very proud of this recognition because I LOVE cooking and baking great food that contributes to a quality experience our patients and residences experience during their stay.

One of my favorite memories at Landmark is when I gave a long term resident a Seahawk hat when the team won the championship in the fall of 2015.  This small gift lit up his face and warmed my heart.  He still proudly wears the hat today.

Tracy Storms

Tracy Storms

Director of Infinity Rehab

Hi my name is Tracy Storms and I am the Rehab Director for Landmark Care.  I have worked at Landmark for 11 years.  I chose to work in skilled nursing because of the level of reward I receive each day.  I’m able to combine my quirky sense of humor with my passion for therapy to each patient I treat with hopes to improve their condition so they can return home for as long as possible.

After 26 years of providing therapy, I have been so blessed to work and serve so many wonderful people, it’s too difficult to pin point just one great memory.  My joy is I have too memories many to share!

Laurie Haggerty

Laurie Haggerty

Wound Care Nurse

Hi, my name is Laurie Haggerty and I am the wound care nurse at Landmark Care.  I have nine years specializing in wound care.  I feel it is such an honor to practice my specialty in the skilled nursing environment so I can give back to the generations before me.

My favorite memory is when I was presented with two dozen roses from the family of a man they said I “saved his life”.  The flowers, along with a hug, created an emotional farewell I will always treasure.
